Sega Game Gear

The Game Gear is Sega’s colour handheld from 1990. Its hardware sits close to the Master System, trading battery life for a backlit colour screen: six AA batteries bought only a few hours of play. Sonic the Hedgehog, Puyo Puyo and Phantasy Star Gaiden all appeared on it. Game Gear games on this site run through the Genesis Plus GX core.
