A Nightmare on Elm Street

A Nightmare on Elm Street brings the iconic horror franchise to the NES, offering a unique blend of action and suspense. As one of four possible teenagers, your mission is to collect the scattered bones of Freddy Krueger and burn them in a furnace, a task made incredibly difficult by his constant presence. The core challenge in A Nightmare on Elm Street lies in managing your sleep meter; as you stay awake, your meter decreases, and once it's depleted, you'll fall into the perilous dream world. This mechanic is central to the gameplay, forcing you to strategically interact with both realities.
