Sonic & Knuckles

Sonic & Knuckles stands as a monumental release in the history of video games, particularly for its groundbreaking 'Lock-On Technology'. This unique feature allowed players to physically connect the Sonic & Knuckles cartridge with previous Sonic titles, most notably Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3. When connected with Sonic the Hedgehog 3, players could experience the full saga of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles, playing through all zones as either Sonic, Tails, or for the very first time, Knuckles the Echidna. This innovative approach extended the replayability and narrative scope, making Sonic & Knuckles much more than just a standalone game.
