Super Robot Wars 2

Super Robot Wars 2 is a seminal tactical role-playing game developed by Winkysoft and published by Banpresto, released for the Famicom (NES) in 1991 exclusively in Japan. While technically the second entry in the long-running franchise, it is widely considered the true starting point of the series as we know it today. The first game was a simpler affair for the Game Boy, but Super Robot Wars 2 introduced the core mechanics and ambitious crossover narrative that would become the franchise's unshakable foundation. It was here that the epic scale of combining legendary mecha anime into a single, cohesive universe was first fully realized, making Super Robot Wars 2 a historic title for the genre.
