Romancing SaGa 2

Romancing SaGa 2 is a role-playing game where you step into the shoes of an emperor, tasked with expanding and protecting a burgeoning empire. You don't play as a single hero; instead, you control generations of rulers, each facing their own challenges and leaving their mark on the world. The game presents a vast world map that opens up as you progress, allowing you to choose which regions to conquer and which quests to undertake.
