Contra Force

Contra Force, released on the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), stands out in the Contra series by introducing a squad-based mechanic, allowing players to choose from four distinct characters: Burns, Smith, Iron, and Beans. Each character in Contra Force possesses unique weapon proficiencies and special abilities, encouraging players to strategize and swap characters on the fly to tackle different combat scenarios. This departure from the traditional single-protagonist Contra experience adds a layer of depth and replayability, making Contra Force a memorable title for fans of the genre. The game's vibrant graphics and intense action sequences are hallmarks of the Contra franchise, beautifully rendered within the NES's capabilities.
